WHO WE ARE

Grace Kim is a senior at Dwight Morrow High School. Grace grew up in an immigrant household and saw firsthand some of the challenges families face when adjusting to life in a new country. Inspired by these experiences, she started Heart2Heart to support immigrant and refugee families by raising funds, collecting donations, and helping them feel welcomed and cared for. She works behind the scenes to make sure every contribution reaches those who need it most. She is passionate about helping others and creating opportunities for people to make a difference in their community. She enjoys leading projects, organizing events, and guiding the team to bring Heart2Heart’s mission to life. Outside of Heart2Heart, she loves listening to music, trying new foods with her friends, and reading fantasy fiction novels!

Juliana Chan is a sophomore at Hunter College. She plays a key role in planning and running Heart2Heart’s fundraising events, helping to organize volunteers, track donations, and make sure every effort supports the community effectively. Juliana also contributes ideas for new fundraisers and ways to provide aid, always seeking practical ways to make a meaningful impact. She enjoys collaborating with the team and seeing how their combined efforts can support immigrant and refugee families. Outside of Heart2Heart, Juliana enjoys creative activities like drawing and knitting, and she loves spending time with friends and family. 

Philip Kim is a junior at LaGuardia High School. He manages all aspects of Heart2Heart’s finances, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and ensuring resources are utilized effectively to support immigrant and refugee families. Philip ensures transparency in donations and works closely with the team to plan fundraisers that have the greatest impact. He enjoys seeing how careful planning and teamwork can help the community in meaningful ways. Outside of Heart2Heart, Philip stays active, spending a lot of his time playing basketball and attending karaoke sessions with his friends.
